The pen, itself, I would say is almost exquisitely done, overall. Fountain pens usually take a little bit to "break in" and "mold" to the original user's style of writing - I certainly wouldn't say that I have adapted this one, just yet, but it's something that takes a little time and use.Durability? What can I say? It is comprised of lacquered metal and 'machined' quite smoothly.Versatile? Considering I only use a fountain pen for writing - not so much for calligraphy or drawing - I would say that it does its job quite well.Color? I certainly can't say anything negative, there, either. But I did also just order a simple black/"standard", since I have long been a little more traditional.The one and only thing I am not a big fan of, myself, is the ink that comes with it. In said aspect, I do suggest that anyone buying this thing also find an ink (especially for the refillable converter) that suits your necessities.

My wife had given the Scrivener Black Laquer Ball Point Pin to me for last Christmas, and I was so impressed by its beauty and quality I chose the same model as a fountain pen to have a matching pen set. The pen's converter works very well in using bottled ink, and I appreciate I can use ink cartridges for on-the-go. I can highly recommend this attractive pen!
